Sunday 3 AM - Wake up for the market in Taupo
This is our Sunday ritual. We wake up early, take a shower, prepare our Mate and everything we need for the long day. We travel 150 km along amazing roads to arrive at 7 am and start the setup.
Sunday 7 AM - Market Setup
This is our trip from Mount Maunganui to Taupo – talking about life, listening to music, drinking coffee and mate. We arrive at the amazing Market Central Taupo, we open the gazebo to set up our frames and art prints – and wait for a good day.
First Coffee
This is my favourite moment of the day. The first coffee, the first drawing. Just a sketch. Nothing serious. Once I make it, I remember that day forever. That’s my way of travelling through time.
Drawing at the sunset
Sometimes, when the sunset is nice, we go to sit and draw anything. Just to think about life. To disconnect from the world. We find happiness in little moments. We want the days not to escape from us...
Pounamu
We went on the Tongariro Crossing hike and did the Pounamu ritual, a Māori stone that represents spiritual connection and strength. We did it in front of a green lake close to the Ngauruhoe volcano.
